Suffolk Community Barn Owl Project

Living Seas; the North Sea Marine Protected Area Project
What picture does ‘Living Seas’ conjure up in your mind? A rocky reef bursting with brightly coloured fish; corals and sponges? A boat trip in the company of leaping dolphins and playful seals? Fishermen hauling nets brimming with big; tasty fish?
Living Seas are all these things and more. We urgently need your help to bring back the UK’s Living Seas. This project focuses mainly on the English North Sea; from Northumberland down to Suffolk and 200 nautical miles out to sea.

Harvest Mouse Project
This new and exciting project has been launched to find out the distribution and population hotspots of harvest mice in Suffolk. The harvest mouse was once common in lowland England; but it is now thought that the harvest mouse has suffered a 70% decline in numbers since the 1970s due to changes in agricultural practices and rural land use and is now listed as a UK Biodiversity Action Plan species.

Water for Wildlife
Water for Wildlife in Suffolk is part of a unique partnership supporting wetland conservation at Wildlife Trusts across the UK. Suffolk Wildlife Trust's Water for Wildlife Project aims to make a major contribution towards the restoration and protection of wetland wildlife; delivering practical conservation benefits for a range of important species and habitats and raising awareness of the importance of wetlands as a living landscape for people and wildlife.

Youth Outdoor Experience (YOE)
The YOE Project aims to engage and inspire young people who will benefit from being active through taking part in fun and stimulating outdoor activities. Regular weekly sessions are held in local community green spaces and on nature reserves.
Activities range from practical conservation tasks to carrying out wildlife surveys as well as outdoor cooking; shelter building and environmental art projects.
