Joint macro photography and Breckland plant ID course with popular professional wildlife photographer, Kevin Sawford.

Breckland covers an area of roughly 370 sq. miles and has its own unique flora. Some of the plants are very distinctive and found nowhere else in Britain. Barnham Cross Common lies just south of Thetford straddling the A134 road to Bury St Edmunds. It consists of Breckland heath and grassland with a mixture of acid and chalk soils and vegetation including periglacial stripes.

Spend a fascinating day here with local professional wildlife photographer, Kevin Sawford, and a Breckland plant expert who will help you with plant identification. You should have a reasonable knowledge of how your camera works.

This course is free and supported by Plantlife under the Brecks 'Breaking New Ground' project funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.

Please bring:

All camera equipment (including spare batteries, memory cards)
telephoto/wide angle lenses
notepad and pen.
x10 magnification lens if you have one although there will be some to borrow (for examining the plants close up).

You will need a packed lunch and drinks for the day. Please wear stout footwear and clothing suitable for the weather

If you have any queries about the technical aspects of the course, please do contact Kevin via his website: www.kevinsawford.com
