Spend a day with Simon Burnham-Slipper on this beautiful nature reserve where you will learn a variety of woodland management techniques.

Learn how to manage a small area of woodland looking at habitat diversity and management techniques to make your woodland more attractive to wildlife.  You will tour the old and new woodlands with Simon and he will demonstrate coppicing techniques. He will also cover planting and natural regeneration and how to create good wildlife habitats using dead and rotting wood. 

We have examples of both ash die-back and sudden oak death at Foxburrow and Simon will give you the latest updates on these tree diseases.

Please wear clothes suitable for the weather conditions and stout footwear. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and are included in the price. You will need a picnic lunch.
