Volunteers help all areas of our work, from taking part in species surveys to helping out with education activities. Visit our volunteering pages to browse and enquire about current opportunities.
Leave a legacy
A gift in your Will will only be used to buy and extend nature reserves and for projects to safeguard threatened species. Each legacy gift, regardless of size, will have a direct and lasting impact on Suffolk’s wildlife and wild places. Read more about how you can do this, and about the inspiring projects we have been able to undertake through the kind support of people who have remembered Suffolk Wildlife Trust.

Support a local group or species group
Across the county there is a network of local groups that meet and organise events to support the Trust. Each local group also produces a newsletter detailing their achievements and activities. There are also specialist species groups such as the Suffolk Bat Group and Mammal Group that you can get involved with.

As a group
Community action for conservation is making huge strides for wildlife across Suffolk. Parish councils, schools, allotment owners and church groups, to name but a few, are pulling together to make a difference for the wildlife on their doorstep.
If you are part of a group that would like to do something for wildlife (examples include restoring a village pond or managing a local churchyard) get in touch with Tracey Housley our Community Conservation advisor. Not only can Tracey offer one to one advice, she produces a community newsletter and runs training courses exclusively for community groups - where you can get together with likeminded people to develop your conservation skills.

At work
For five decades, Suffolk Wildlife Trust has forged successful relationships with Suffolk’s business community.
We are seeking long-term relationships with business people who genuinely care about wildlife and believe that, like our 25 000 members, conservation of biodiversity plays a crucial role in combating climate change.
