Suffolk's Fab40 Adventures launch

Wednesday 3rd August 2016

A campaign to encourage people to take part in 40 fun and fabulous seasonal adventures in Suffolk’s great outdoors has been launched.

Suffolk’s Fab40 Adventures, which launched on Wednesday to coincide with National Play Day, consists of 10 wild experiences for each season – from hiding up a tree to watching the spectacle of rutting stags.

The initiative is the result of a collaboration between a number of outdoor learning organisations including Suffolk Wildlife Trust and Being Well in the Wild as a response to the county’s Nature Strategy – a vision for Suffolk’s natural environment.

People are being encouraged to visit for information about the different adventures and where it is possible to achieve them – including a number of Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserves.

Judy Powell, head of education at the Trust said: “Suffolk’s Fab40 Adventures is all about getting people outdoors and active. We hope people will take advantage of this resources and get outside to experience and enjoy our wild and beautiful county.”

To mark National Play Day Suffolk Wildlife Trust is running activities at our county-wide network of education sites. For more information see here.
