Outdoor learning around your school

A day with Suffolk Wildlife Trust will motivate your class and sustain their interest back at school… but more than this, opening their minds to nature offers the promise of a lifetime of outdoor adventure and learning.

We can help you bring nature into your everyday teaching, extending the opportunities to discover and learn about wildlife around your school grounds and nearby habitats.

Whole school discovery days

We can come to you and work with your children teaching a cross curricular programme of your choice in your school grounds or local green space.

Your local Suffolk Wildlife Trust nature reserve

We have 50 nature reserves across the county.  We can plan and deliver a bespoke day of activities or extended forest school at your local site to suit your curriculum needs.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust membership for schools

Your school can become a member of Suffolk Wildlife Trust to secure regular support for wildlife learning in your school. Membership includes a free advisory visit of your choice, often school grounds advice or curriculum ideas, together with follow up support by telephone or email, termly resource mailings and access to our members online activity bank.  You will also receive 25% off our teacher training courses.  We have a network of wildlife clubs across Suffolk and if you are running a wildlife club in school, you can also come to our free leader training sessions.
