Badger watching with Suffolk Wildlife Trust

The Suffolk Wildlife Trust badger hide was established to provide people with a unique opportunity to observe these secretive animals in their natural environment.

On any one watch you may be lucky enough to see several badgers go about their nightly routine, from foraging for food, playing, grooming and climbing.  We recently teamed up with Gardenature to record these nightly goings on.   We hope to add new footage as we usually have new arrivals in the group each season, bookmark this page to follow their progress……………

Book your own Badger Watch
The hide is open from April to September and can accommodate up to eight people for an evening session.  The cost is £5 per person which helps us maintain the hide.  To find out more or to book your very own Badger Watch please contact Ingrid McIvor at Suffolk Wildlife Trust on 01473 890089 or email info@suffolkwildlifetrust.org

If you cannot view our badger footage please contact info@suffolkwildlifetrust.org

Comments from recent Badger Watcher Richard Haugh:
‘It was a fascinating evening - a Suffolk safari!   We saw eight badgers, including two youngsters.  I had never seen wild badgers before, they were much bigger than I expected and their interaction with one another was captivating.  I will definitely book another watch next year.’
