About the event
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COURSE HAS MOVED FROM 5 FEBRUARY.
This course will develop the skills you need to create woodblock prints using readily available tools and materials. Using illustrated manuscripts as inspiration you will explore the use of letter forms and imagery and how these can be combined to create effective and beautiful decorative designs. The course is suitable for beginners. Some experience with either lino or woodblock printing would be beneficial, but the course is also suitable for beginners with a basic level of drawing ability.
Glenn Holman has combined a twenty-year teaching career in further and higher education with his practice as a professional artist and exhibits internationally. A multi-disciplinary artist, he works across sculpture, artists books, painting, drawing and printmaking.
