About the event
Led by Paula Baker of Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue Centre, Intermediate Hedgehog Care is a more advanced course for those who have already attended one of the Trust’s Basic Hedgehog Care workshops. During the day, you will learn about hedgehog anatomy, lungworm, different illnesses seen at the Rescue Centre, various treatments, and ways in which you can help this endearing and endangered creature.
Hedgehog numbers have dropped alarmingly in the past ten years and we fear up to a third of the UK’s population has been lost. Participants on the course will be encouraged to become Hedgehog Advocates and guided to understand how to provide sustainable support and care.
Handouts will be available, but you may wish to bring a notebook and pen.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and are included in the cost.
