About the event

Using simple weaving techniques, you will discover how to create a framework, how to cover and shape the frame with freeweave and how to build the head, legs and ears to finish your piece. Jo will also guide you in selecting the willow, finishing and trimming your work.

The course is suitable for beginners or those with some experience. Numbers are limited to just 12 to ensure that plenty of hands-on help is available.

Jo Hammond is a professional maker using English willow and hedgerow materials: designer, author and tutor. Check out Jo's work on her website

PLEASE NOTE - Willow weaving is moderately hard work and does require a firm grip, and the flexibility to bend over and squat down occasionally.

All materials and tools will be supplied, as well as tea/coffee and biscuits, although if you wish to use your own secateurs, please feel free to bring them along.

Please bring:
Secateurs if you wish to use your own
