Basket weaving course at Bradfield Woods
About the event
Suitable for beginners, you will learn some basic basketry techniques to make a simple handled basket combining basket willow and coppiced materials from Bradfield woods.
An enjoyable day for age 18+, all tools and materials will be provided.
Please wear suitable warm outdoor clothing and stout footwear.
Tea and coffee will be provided, please bring your own mug, or a flask if you prefer.
You will also need:
A packed lunch
Camera, if you wish
Secateurs, if you have them
Please note: If you go indoors at lunchtime or to warm up, you will need to wear a face covering.
In order to run activity sessions safely while the COVID-19 pandemic is still in effect, there are some restrictions in place, which are in the best interests of our participants, staff and volunteers. We appreciate you following the guidelines we have set out.
It is important that you read and agree to the following information before you book onto the session:
- On arrival at our site and throughout the event, please observe government guidance on social interactions.
- All participants will be required to use sanitising hand gel on arrival. This will be provided by us and will be available for you to use at any additional points during the session, should you wish to.
- If you or a member of your household is showing ANY signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or you have been told by NHS Test and Trace to isolate, you must not attend the session.
All facilities and frequently touched surfaced will be thoroughly cleaned after each event
