About the event
This special non-residential course is held on Saturday and Sunday. Over two days, local artist Joy Holden will introduce you to the tools and materials every mosaic artist needs and you will be taught the cutting and shaping techniques entailed in creating these delightful works of art. Joy will guide you on the correct use of adhesive and grouting and the skills you need to perfect your own mosaic piece.
During this enjoyable weekend, you will put together your very own hare mosaic panel (approximately 32cm x 20cm) to take home with you.
PLEASE NOTE: Accommodation is NOT provided.
Although we hope that Covid restrictions will not prevail in 2022, if the situation changes we may have to put measures in place to protect everyone. We would appreciate you familiarising yourself with the guidelines and being ready to follow them should they still be triggered.
More detailed information will be outlined nearer the time or when you arrive at the venue, however, it is important that you read and agree to the following information before you book.
- If you are showing ANY signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or you have been told by NHS Test and Trace to isolate, you must not attend this event.
- During the session you will be encouraged to socially distance from those with whom you don’t normally mix.
- All participants will be required to use sanitising hand gel on arrival. Hand gel will be provided and will be available for you to use at any additional points during the day, should you wish to.
- It will be necessary for everyone to use a face covering in the centre during the day. If you wish, you will be able to remove your face coverings when you are safely seated, but you will be required to put it back on whenever you rise from your seat. As you will be wearing a face covering for quite some time, we would encourage you to bring a fresh one with you, for your comfort and hygiene.
All equipment used on the day will be cleaned before use and where possible everyone will have their own set of tools for the duration.
We hope to be able to serve refreshments. However, please feel free to bring your own drinks. Thank you for your understanding.
