Self-led school visits to Foxburrow

Foxburrow is a place to develop a passion for the natural world.

Foxburrow is a mosaic of wildlife habitats including ponds, woodlands, meadows and an old orchard alongside the former arable fields, farmed until quite recently but now allowing nature to take its course. The learning facilities are centred on the traditional farmyard and include the barn classroom, toilets, covered activity areas and wildlife garden.
A usual day runs between 10am and 2.30pm. We are flexible half an hour either side of this. Price per pupil is £2.50
All equipment, instructions and a map will be provided on arrival. A link to downloadable resources will be provided on confirmation of your booking.

Ratio requirement - For children aged two and under we require you to provide a ratio of 1 adult : 4 pupils. For children aged three and over we require a ratio of 1 adult : 6 pupils.
We had a fantastic day out. The setting was perfect- brought our mini-beast topic alive! We would love to come again.

All equipment required, including pond nets, white trays, viewers and identification keys, will be provided.
Due to the sensitivity of the wildlife at Foxburrow, we endeavour to provide a trained Suffolk Wildlife Trust Volunteer to assist with this session. If one is not available you will be provided with an alternative session.
