Reserve work parties

We need volunteers to join our regular practical conservation work parties on nature reserves throughout Suffolk.

Location:

Various reserves throughout Suffolk.

What you’ll be doing:

Reserves management work on our many reserves is varied but could include work in wetlands, coastal habitats, woodlands, ponds, meadows or heathland.

The skills you need:

No experience necessary but an interest in the Trust's work would be useful. You will need to be fit enough to carry out some physical work.

What you’ll get out of it:

You will learn more about the management of reserves in Suffolk and gain experience volunteering with a conservation organization. You will also get to meet Trust staff and other volunteers.

Last but by no means least, the work is always varied, thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding and tea and coffee is provided on site to reward you for your hard work!

The time you need to give:

Work parties are normally half or full days and run some weekdays and occasional weekends on a few reserves throughout Suffolk.

Other information:

Full training, tools and protective clothing are provided but please bring wellies and stout work boots, plus a hearty packed lunch!
