About the event

Join artists and researcher, Nabil Ali for a guided walk around Holywells Park to discover what different plants and foliage can produce natural pigments. 

Learn which plants are best to forage for natural pigment making, discuss the principles of foraging and leave with new knowledge to make your own pigments using plants. 

This walk will also help you learn to identify different species and what to look out for when foraging. 

You'll also leave with a recipe to make your own watercolour pans using natural pigments.

Nabil is the author of Gold from Newton's Apple Tree, and has recently completed his artist in residency at Cambridge Botanical Gardens.
