VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT CARLTON MARSHES

We are looking for people who would be interested in coming along to Carlton Marshes Education Centre based near Lowestoft to find out more about volunteering with the Trust. Gemma Smith, education officer at Carlton Marshes near Lowestoft has a busy season ahead and volunteers are an essential part of the centre and the running of its exciting programme of activities.

We are especially on the lookout for people who would be interested in helping with our programme of education activities (which varies from scientific studies of water creatures to art and crafts) and those who are interested in admin work and publicity. Also based at the centre is the Youth Outdoor Experience or YOE project which aims to involve 11-18 year old in outdoor activities and is also looking for volunteers. Getting involved will be a real chance to become part of a strong volunteer team and make a difference to young peoples experiences of visiting Carlton Marshes.

For more detailed information on all the volunteer opportunities you can visit the volunteer webpages and look at the Conservation, Publicity, Education, and Office & Centres pages.

Come along to our volunteer recruitment day on Tuesday 21 April from 10am to 12, when you can meet the education officer and other volunteers at Carlton and have a chat about the different opportunities. Contact Suffolk Wildlife Trust headquarters on 01473 890089 or email: carlton.education@suffolkwildlifetrust.org

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided!
