Places on all events and activities must be booked and paid for in advance, unless otherwise stated.
You will receive confirmation of your booking and further information (where applicable) by email. In the unlikely event that you do not receive these or if you have a query regarding your booking, please contact us on 01473 890089 between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Places are non-refundable unless the event or activity is cancelled by the Trust.
Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserves the right to cancel an event or activity and, in these circumstances, will offer a full refund.
If you or a member of your household is showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or you have been advised by NHS Test and Trace that you are required to self-isolate, you must not attend the event or activity. We regret that we are unable to offer a refund under these circumstances. Thank you for your understanding at this time.
Applications to transfer to an alternative event or activity will be considered at Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s discretion and may result in the place being cancelled without refund if an alternative event or activity cannot be found.
All events and activities will run subject to a minimum number of attendees (except Badger hide and Bernard’s hide bookings). The decision as to whether the event or activity goes ahead will be made no later than 48 hours in advance of the event or activity; you are, therefore, strongly advised to book before this time.
In the event that Suffolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and will offer a full refund.
We are committed to ensuring that our events and activities are accessible for everyone. Please contact us on 01473 890089 between 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday if you have any specific needs or requirements.
Health and safety
All events and activities for young people, families and children will be led by a member of Suffolk Wildlife Trust staff or trained key volunteer (except Badger hide and Bernard’s hide bookings). All Suffolk Wildlife Trust learning team staff and key volunteers have an enhanced DBS certificate and have undertaken safeguarding training. Suffolk Wildlife Trust has a health and safety policy, a safeguarding policy and a behaviour policy which are available on our website or on request.
Suffolk Wildlife Trust Wild Learning Officers are trained in first aid.
Events and activities will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear.
In the event that Suffolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity - either the day before the event or activity or on the morning of the event or activity using the email address or telephone number supplied on booking and will offer a full refund.
Please note that unless otherwise specified dogs are not normally allowed at family events.
Mobile phones and other electronic communication devices
No child or young person is permitted to use mobile telephones or other electronic communication devices during sessions (with the exception of planned sessions in which use of mobile telephones or other electronic communication devices is an integral part of those sessions, for example photography courses or geocaching sessions) or at breaks or lunchtime. Mobile telephones and other electronic communication devices brought to a session by a child or young person are to be left in the individual’s bag in the centre (where appropriate) at their own risk. Suffolk Wildlife Trust cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
