About the event

Open to all levels of photography from beginners to experts, this 'Wander in the Wilds' will give you the opportunity to hone your existing photography skills or learn new ones as you take photos in the magical landscapes of this stunning new reserve in Suffolk.

Whilst exploring the reserve in Autumn, Kevin will guide you on the techniques you can employ to capture the perfect images of the surrounding landscape and its wildlife, and he will provide you with hints & tips for getting the best out of your camera. You will receive one-to-one as well as group guidance on optimising your composition and have the chance to put some novel techniques into practice.

Martlesham Wilds is a recent reserve for nature, to join the 50-plus nature reserves managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust and provides an exciting blank canvas for wildlife to populate over the coming years.

This is the first Autumn Photography workshop at Martlesham Wilds and the event provides an opportunity for experienced photographers and local enthusiasts of Martlesham Wilds to come together to create images of the reserve as it begins its wilding journey.

You will need to bring:

All camera equipment (including spare batteries, memory cards)

Various lenses if you have them from telephoto to wide angle and macro

A tripod would be useful

Any refreshments you may need out on the reserve including a packed lunch.

Notebook and pen

Please wear stout footwear and weather-suitable clothing.

Teas and coffees will be served on arrival and are included in the cost of the morning. Please feel free to bring your own hot drinks, mugs or flasks with you for out on the reserve.
