About the event
Organised jointly by Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Woodbridge Wildlife Group and Suffolk Bird Group, this talk will give you the chance to hear Tim reveal the latest about the return of the Osprey to England and the wonders of this incredible bird.
Phil Smith, chair of Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Woodbridge Wildlife Group said “Tim will discuss the Osprey reintroduction projects at Rutland Water and Poole Harbour and explain how some remarkable individual Ospreys have played a key role in the recovery of the species in both England and Wales. This promises to be a really fascinating evening.”
Eddie Bathgate, chair of Suffolk Bird Group said “Tim has been involved in Osprey conservation since his teens, having first become involved as a young volunteer with the first English translocation project at Rutland Water. For some years now there have been plans to re-introduce the Osprey to Suffolk and it will be interesting to have an update from Tim on how this is progressing”.
Doors open at 7pm. Entry is £4 for adults, with under 25’s free.
Light refreshments will be served during the evening and there will also be a raffle and the opportunity to purchase Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s popular Christmas cards.
