About the event

Join us for a volunteer taster day doing practical management tasks out on the reserve with our wardens.

We will be carrying out a practical conservation task on our reserve, which could be coppicing, meadow management, or infrastructure repairs. This is an opportunity for you to try out volunteering with our reserves team and sign up to our regular work parties if you enjoy the day. 

Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people, build your strength and skills, and learn more about the work we do on our nature reserve. Please be aware that our tasks do require a certain level of physical strength - we welcome all levels of experience and are happy to provide the training you need, and many of our volunteers build their strength over time.

Please note that this is not a taster day for any visitor-facing roles e.g. café, welcome - please see our volunteer opportunities page for details on those.
