About the event
The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon 2027 takes place on Sunday 26th September 2027, and is one of the most sought-after running events in the county.
Sign up to fundraise for Suffolk Wildlife Trust and support our work protecting wildlife, restoring natural places, and inspiring communities.
Open to people age 17 years+ (on the day of the race).
About the Marathon
The race will start and finish at Portman Road Stadium in Ipswich, home to Ipswich Town Football Club. The route wriggles through the town centre, loops east to Holywells Park and along the Ipswich waterfront, before following the Orwell River under the Orwell Bridge and into the countryside. At Freston, the route does a U-turn heading back towards Ipswich, and the finish line at Portman Road.

How to register and fundraise
We are able to access a limited number of spaces for this event and are offering competitive packages to runners choosing to fundraise for Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
Register to run on behalf of Suffolk Wildlife Trust for just £15 (reduced from the open entry price of £41). Suffolk Wildlife Trust will pay the balance of your registration fee, provided you commit to raising £130 for our vital work.
(Please note you must be age 17+ on race day, and register by the Sunday 26th August 2027)
The Impact of Your Support
It costs an average of £300 a year to look after just one acre of our precious nature reserves, so every penny raised at this event is vital for taking care of the 7,200 acres we currently protect - and for helping us reclaim more green space for wildlife and people.

Please note, as this is an external event, Suffolk Wildlife Trust are not responsible for delivery of the event on the day but will be present to cheer our runners on.
Suffolk Wildlife Trust are purchasing registration slots for this event. To benefit from a charity funded space from us, you must commit to raising £130 in sponsorship. If you fail to raise the minimum amount required to cover the cost of your event space (£41) our team may ask you to self-fund any deficit. If you sign up but do not pay the £15 registration fee, unfortunately you will not be allocated a space in this event.
