We have installed two new electric vehicle charging ports at Lackford Lakes nature reserve and Redgrave & Lopham Fen Nature Reserve for visitors to the reserves to use.

Andy Wright, our Facilities Manager, has been busy working with Peter Frost from Greener Suffolk to install two electric vehicle charging ports at Lackford Lakes nature reserve and Redgrave & Lopham Fen Nature Reserve for visitors to the reserves to use.

These new charging points are part of Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s commitment to carbon reduction and to encourage the use of sustainable transport to our reserves.

The electric vehicle charging stations have been fully funded by Suffolk County Council’s Greener Suffolk project. The project’s aim is to make Suffolk the greenest county in the UK, by establishing a network of charging points across Suffolk, making the use of electric vehicles more accessible.

Thank you, Greener Suffolk, for making this possible, especially to Peter Frost for his support and guidance. We also couldn’t have installed the new port at Redgrave and Lopham Fen without the help of our fabulous volunteers. And finally, a big thank you to Andy Wright for bringing this project together.
