Going Wild about Bungay

Going Wild about Bungay

Wild about Bungay, a book dedicated to Bungay's wildlife has raised £2,054.38 for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, all in the memory of Jasmine Lingwood, who passed away in 2012.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to Terry and Chris Reeve, Jasmin's brothers, who created this wonderful tribute to Jasmin's love for wildlife and her dedication to the Bungay Wildlife Group. Proceeds from the book sales have kindly been donated to Suffolk Wildlife Trust.

Our community fundraising manager, Michael Strand, was presented with a cheque for £2,054.38 by Terry and Chris, which took place in front of the tree at the Staithe, planted in her memory in 2013.

Terry said his sister would have been delighted with the book and how much money it has raised in her memory.

Jenni Jepson, who was an active colleague of Jasmine’s in the Bungay group as written a heart-warming tribute to Jasmin in the book. Here, she reflects on how Jasmin transformed the Bungay Wildlife Group, by arranging regular talks and events and inspiring others to get involved too. This lovely publication and the proceeds generated will go on as a testament to Jasmin's passion of wildlife.

All of us at Suffolk Wildlife Trust are very grateful to be given this gift in memory of one of our volunteers and continue to be reminded how valuable and important are volunteers are to our work.
