About the event

To give nature the best chance to recover from the effects of human activity and the climate crisis, it's essential to create more space in our landscape in which nature can recover and become abundant again.

Whilst Suffolk Wildlife Trust owns and manages a total of 2,900 hectares (7,100 acres) of land on 50 nature reserves across Suffolk, these alone cannot provide the space needed for wildlife to recover. It is essential for us all to work together with fellow landowners and communities to prioritise nature for the good of all. Jenny Rawson, wilder landscapes advice manager, will share with us the collaborative Landscape Recovery projects that have taken place across the county and the benefits gained for wildlife.

The Trust’s Landscape Recovery team advises farmers, landowners and communities throughout Suffolk on how to best make their land wildlife-friendly, and to support them to implement wildlife-friendly practices. By encouraging our fellow landowners to make nature-positive choices, we are reconnecting habitats along river valleys, road verges, hedgerows and woodlands that provide vital corridors through which wildlife can safely move and inhabit.
