Event, Activity & Webinar Terms & Conditions

Booking
Places on all events, activities and webinars must be booked and paid for in advance, unless otherwise stated. You will receive confirmation of your booking and further information (where applicable) by email, either directly from Suffolk Wildlife Trust or our third party booking platform Eventbrite.
In the unlikely event that you do not receive these or if you have a query regarding your booking, please use the contact details available on the event listing or booking confirmation or email events@suffolkwildlifetrust.org.
Cancellation
Bookings are non-refundable unless the event, activity or webinar is cancelled by Suffolk Wildlife Trust.Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserves the right to cancel an event or activity and, in these circumstances, will offer a full refund.
All events, activities and webinars will run subject to a minimum number of attendees.
In the event that Suffolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to low numbers, extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and offer an alternative date or full refund.
Accessibility
Suffolk Wildlife Trust believes everyone has a right to access nature, and the Trust is committed to ensuring that our events and activities are accessible for everyone. If you have any specific needs or requirements, please use the contact details available on the event listing or booking confirmation or email events@suffolkwildlifetrust.org.
Health and safety
All events and activities for young people, families and children will be led by a member of Suffolk Wildlife Trust staff or trained key volunteer. All Suffolk Wildlife Trust Engagement staff and key volunteers have an enhanced DBS certificate and have undertaken safeguarding training. Suffolk Wildlife Trust has a health and safety policy, a safeguarding policy and a behaviour policy which are available on request.
First aid
Suffolk Wildlife Trust staff and volunteers leading events are first aid trained.
Weather
Events and activities will take place in all weather conditions unless Suffolk Wildlife Trusts deems conditions unsafe. As an attendee, it is your responsibility to ensure you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear.
Unaccompanied sessions
Due to Ofsted exemption requirements, at each of our sites, we are only able to offer a maximum of 14 sessions a year for unaccompanied children under the age of 8. Therefore, please make sure you check your child meets the age requirements for the session you are booking them onto.
Webinars
All Suffolk Wildlife Trust Live Webinars are hosted on Zoom. You will receive confirmation of your booking and joining instructions for Zoom via email. In the unlikely event that you do not receive these or if you have a query regarding your booking, please contact events@suffolkwildlifetrust.org or call 01473 890089.
Circumstances may require that presenters change from those named. Provided a presenter of equal standing is secured, participants will not be notified in advance. Refunds will only be given in the unlikely event that a replacement presenter is unavailable.
Our webinars are designed to be informative, friendly and fun. Please note that while you may finish the webinar with some expertise, they do not count towards any formal qualification unless otherwise stated.
Dogs
Please note that unless otherwise specified, dogs are not normally allowed at events or activities.
Mobile phones
No child or young person is permitted to use mobile phones or other electronic communication devices during sessions (with the exception of planned sessions in which use of mobile telephones or other electronic communication devices is an integral part of those sessions, for example photography courses or geocaching sessions) or at breaks or lunchtime.
Mobile phones and other electronic communication devices brought to a session by a child or young person are to be left in the individual’s bag in the centre (where appropriate) at their own risk. Suffolk Wildlife Trust cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
If you are taking photos of your child during sessions, please do not include any other children.

Birthday Party Terms & Conditions

Booking
Booking a Suffolk Wildlife Trust Birthday Party is secured on receipt of the completed booking form and a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of your booking. You will recieve confirmation of the booking by email.
If the booking form and deposit is not returned within 14 days of the provisional booking, the provisional booking will be cancelled and the date(s) made available to other parties.
The balance of your party is payable 7 days before the party. You will be charged for the number of children stated on the booking form. No reduction can be made for children absent on the day of the party or in respect of late arrival or early departure. Please let us know as soon as possible if additional children (over and above those stated on the booking form) will be present on the day of the party; additional children will be charged for according to our current prices.
Cancellation
Please let us know as soon as possible if you wish to amend or cancel your booking.
Cancelling a confirmed booking will incur charges as below:
- Cancellation 15 days or more before the party: 50% of total booking cost (covered by the non-refundable deposit)
- Cancellation 14 days or fewer before the party: 100% of total booking cost
Requests to change the date of a confirmed booking will be considered at a manager or directors discretion and may incur charges as per a cancelled booking if an alternative date cannot be found.
In the event that Suffolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel a party due to extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and will do our best to offer an alternative date. If an alternative date cannot be found, we will offer a full refund for the cost of the party.

Online Shop Terms & Conditions

Returns and Refund
We want you to be delighted with your purchase from Suffolk Wildlife Trust. You may cancel your online order at any time between it being placed and us dispatching the goods and you will receive a full refund. You may also cancel your order after you have purchased goods from us and after they have been delivered. We offer a 7-day cancellation period starting on the day of delivery.
This complies with the UK Distance Selling Regulations.
Shipping and packing costs
Our shipping and packing charges are stated on this website. Postage is £4 for all purchases within mainland England, Scotland and Wales only.
For non-mainland UK and overseas delivery please email teamwilder@suffolkwildlifetrust.org or telephone us on 01473 890089 (Mon-Fri 9.30-16.30 GMT) to alert us to the detail of your order. We will take each order on a case by case basis, letting you know the actual cost of postage and packaging and ask you to pay for any extra cost above and beyond the standard £4 through our online donation page before the goods are sent.
Delivery Charge on Returning Goods
If you wish to return an unwanted item to us it must be in its original packaging and unused. Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping the product back to us.
On safe receipt of the unwanted item, subject to it being in its original packaging and unused we will issue a refund for the cost of the purchase. However, we are neither able to refund the cost of delivery to the customer nor refund the postage costs incurred in returning the product.
Please do not return items without prior discussion via email or telephone.
Damaged, defective or incorrect goods
Damaged, defective or incorrect goods being shipped can happen. If this is the case we will do everything in our powers to put this right.
We will arrange for the goods to be replaced and arrange for the defective goods to be collected at our expense.
Products returned exceeding the cancellation period
If the cancellation period has been exceeded then it is important to talk to us in person before considering returning an item. Please do not return items without prior discussion via email or telephone.
Shipping Information
We have worked hard to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. We use Parcels2Go as couriers and Royal Mail to deliver goods. We handpack orders carefully to help ensure they arrive to you in perfect condition. However, we are not liable to damages to orders caused in transit.
Payments
We process all payments securely using PayPal, including all credit and debit card payments. Please note you do not need a PayPal account to be able to pay using credit or debit card.
Accuracy of Content
Suffolk Wildlife Trust makes every effort to ensure we give a fair representation of each product we sell. However, some variations may sometimes occur. All measurements stated are approximate and the reproduction of colours is as accurate as digital media, photographic and publishing processes allow.
Safety Regulations
All products we sell comply with appropriate consumer and safety regulations. If a product is recalled by the manufacturer for any reason you will be contacted immediately.
