About the event

Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, this fun, colourful and creative workshop will give you the opportunity to dip your toes into the wonderful world of wet felting at this bite-sized taster session. The session will last 1 hour.

With the leaves of the ancient woodland of Bradfield Woods as your inspiration, you will use fine, colourful merino sheep wool and the age-old technique of wet felting to create your own leaf ready to take home at the end of the session.

Lizzie Brown of Felt Fantastic will guide you to work with soap & water and use a massage technique to turn the natural wool fibres into a felt fabric. Lizzie will provide all the materials you will need to transform this fabric into your leaf.

Lizzie has been running www.feltfantastic.uk for a number of years and has run many workshops for adults and young people.

You will need to bring:
A large towel
Apron if you wish
Notebook and pen if you wish

Teas & coffees will be served on arrival and are included in the cost of the course.
