- Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (approximate return)
- Distance: Just over 5 miles

About the Walk
The River Waveney forms a stunning boundary rich in wildlife. On this guided trek, conservation experts from both trusts will take you through the local river systems and the spectacular, restored wetland habitats of the marshes.
What we will explore:
- River Restoration on the Ground: Discover how we are actively improving water quality and managing freshwater habitats.
- Marshland Habitats: Learn about the unique wildlife that calls these river banks home—from thriving reedbeds to diverse bird, insect, and mammal populations.
- Landscape Recovery Insights: Hear about the collaborative vision to scale up conservation work and better connect Suffolk's wild spaces for future generations.
What to Bring
- Footwear: Sturdy, waterproof walking boots or wellies (terrain alongside the river and marshes may be soft or muddy).
- Clothing: Weather-appropriate layers and waterproofs.
- Provisions: A light snack and plenty of water to keep you fuelled along the 5-mile route.
