About the event

Hazel dormice are a secretive, native small mammal that is becoming endangered in Britain.

This webinar will cover their unique ecology, how we study them and what actions are needed to help address their decline.

Simone has an almost lifelong interest in hazel dormice and has led landscape-scale initiatives in Suffolk to restore their habitats and trialled new survey methods to help detect them. She is also the co-author of the 3rd edition of the Dormouse Conservation Handbook, to be published in 2024.
