Wilder Schools

Nurturing young minds growing wilder Schools.

At Suffolk Wildlife Trust, we believe everyone has the right to access nature - and that we all have a vital role to play in reversing biodiveristy loss and climate change.

Every school can be a Wilder School.

Our 3 year programme helps students to understand Suffolk's natural environment, discover local wildlife, and build meaningful connections with nature that support their wellbeing. The programme also empowers teachers to weave nature into everyday learning, giving pupils the confidence and life skills to act for nature. Through simple, hands‑on activities that boost wildlife on school grounds, pupils learn to care for the natural world and are inspired to explore future Green and Blue career pathways — laying the foundations for a happier, healthier, and more sustainable generation.

And if you're not ready to join the programme, you can still be part of the Wilder Schools Movement by using our free resources and taking simple actions for wildlife.

Explore the resources below and share your journey with us on social media. Together, we're creating a future where both wildlife and people can thrive.
