Young Wardens

Our Young Wardens are groups of 11-16yrs learning wildlife conservation skills on our nature reserves.

Activities vary throughout the year depending on the season, weather, and wildlife, however often include conducting species surveys and getting hands-on with pratical tasks on the reserve - gaining experience in conservation whilst developing work-based skills and meeting new people.

We have Young Wardens groups at Carlton Marshes (Lowestoft), Foxburrow (Woodbridge) and Lackford Lakes (Bury St Edmunds). Attending sessions can contribute to the volunteering or skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
