Only being at Lackford for three days a week was tricky to keep everything updated so I decided to combine work and home this time to keep the insta’ story alive as 30 Days Wild was also on the agenda at home too. So what did we get up to.... I attended the nature summit, Lowestoft’s first light festival – a 24 hour festival on the beach, made a mini pond at home inspired by the Suffolk show stand and harvested our first home grown strawberries. We’ve danced barefoot in the rain, jumped in many puddles, hugged some trees and hunted out bugs and flowers to name but a few.

It was my aim for the month just to try and keep 30 Days Wild as simple as possible to show that anyone anywhere can do it. You don’t need to be a nature nerd or know anything about it you just need to step outside and embrace it. It was great to see the instagram followers get onboard and spread the message by tagging us in their posts and stories. We loved following their journeys too. We rounded off the month with kingfisher day at Lackford. This was a first for the reserve.  We had a great turn out with kids crafts, pond dipping and guest appearances from our resident kingfisher who kept popping up around the reserve for question time.
