About the event

Join a nationwide creative response to climate emergency. Working with come along and see real moths caught the evening before, make an upcycled plastic moth and record messages for the Moths to a Flame installation at COP26.

Artist Liz Waugh McManus will help you make your moth to be sent to Glasgow to join up to 20,000 being made nationwide to make up an installation in the Botanical Gardens. Moths to a flame project explores energy and the world of moths in order to better understand ourselves and the impact of our actions through creativity.

This event is an opportunity to 

  • Think about energy and its possibilities

  • Explore the natural world and observe real moths near you

  • Create simple hand-crafted and digital moths to join the exhibition

  • Record your climate hopes for the future and

  • Send a message to World Leaders at COP26.
