About the event

Wild Babies introduces you and your baby to the outdoors in a safe and supportive environment. With nature-themed sensory activities to stimulate your baby, and help deepen your connection to nature and foster a life-long love of nature in your child.

Sessions will involve a gentle stroll to our woodland, a self-lead activity in the wood, and time to unwind, with a chance to chat to other parents while the babies enjoy some 'tummy time', or the opportunity to explore at their own pace for those who are crawling.

Sessions are suitable for children aged 3-18 months only.

All sessions will be held entirely outside, so please ensure you and your child are dressed appropriately for the weather. Be aware that it can be cooler and muddy in the wood.

Sessions will be held in all weathers, unless it is deemed unsafe to do so. In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel the session will be made on the morning of the event. All participants will be informed by 10am, using the 'phone number supplied on booking.

Not all areas are pushchair accessible, so please bring a sling or carrier to carry your baby to the woods.

To encourage social distancing and minimise overcrowding, there are a limited number of tickets available per session.

In order to run activity sessions safely while the COVID-19 pandemic is still in effect, there are a number of restrictions put in place, which are in the best interests of our participants, staff and volunteers. We appreciate you following the guidelines we have set out.

More detailed information will be outlined in your confirmation email once you have booked onto the session, however, it is important that you read and agree to the following information before you book onto the session.

  • If you or a member of your household is showing ANY signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or you have been told by NHS Test and Trace to isolate, you must not attend the session
  • During the session you will be encouraged to socially distance from other households. It is your responsibility to be aware of yours and your child's proximity to others.
  • All participants will be required to use sanitising hand gel on arrival. This will be provided by us and will be available for you to use throughout the session.
  • All equipment used on the day will be cleaned after each session and, where possible, each household will have their own set for the duration of that session.
