About the event

The election of a mayor to lead a joint Suffolk and Norfolk combined authority in May 2026 will mark a big change in local government powers and decision-making – including for nature & wildlife.

In this talk, SWT planning & advocacy manager Rupert Masefield will introduce the Trust’s campaign to ensure a mayor makes protecting and restoring nature a central priority for their time in office – and talk about the different ways members and supporters can get involved and help.
