About the event

Weave and unwind on this willow basket course for beginners and improvers. By the end of the day, you will have created a beautiful modern asymmetric basket with a stylish wooden handle, with a variety of potential uses around your home such as holding plants or yarn. 

No experience needed, but a degree of manual dexterity and finger strength is required to weave a small basket of your own. The photos at the top of the page indicate the basket style - for other styles, please check our events page for other workshops.

Jane first learnt to weave with this wonderful, versatile natural resource as a volunteer host for Suffolk Wildlife Trust nine years ago and has been hooked ever since, running courses and extending her own repertoire. 

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. The café will be open from 10am-4pm, serving savoury food and sweet treats.
