We are ramping up our marine conservation and campaigning work to protect, restore and advocate for our invaluable blue spaces both locally and nationally.
But we can't do it alone. Join us in championing, speaking up for and defending the marine world.
National Marine Week
The Wildlife Trusts’ annual celebration of all things marine is making a splash from 25 July - 9 August.
This year's theme, Incredible Journeys, spotlights some of the astonishing adventures our marine marvels embark on in search of food, returning to their breeding ground or favourable conditions.
While wildlife navigates our waterways, sadly, so do many pollutants. We're encouraging you to take part in a beach clean this National Marine Week and learn about other ways to help the marine environment.
Pledge to help marine wildlife
Watch what you wash down the sink. Many household products can end up in our waterways and then in the sea. By disposing of waste properly and choosing nature-friendly products, we can keep our waters clean for marine wildlife.
If you eat fish, choose sustainable seafood. This helps protect vulnerable fish populations, reduces the impact of fishing on marine habitats and other wildlife, and supports fishers who are fishing responsibly.
Reduce your use of single-use plastics. Small changes, such as reusing items and avoiding unnecessary packaging, can make a big difference.
Other ways to help
There are lots of ways to help our coastal creatures thrive, even if you don't have the beach on your doorstep.
Be the first to hear about marine campaigns and other ways to advocate for wildlife.
