Free ways to support our charity

You can support our charity's mission to bring back nature without spending a penny, here's how.

We know that not everyone can make large donations to support our charity's vital conservation work for wildlife in Suffolk.

But there are ways both individuals and businesses can make a difference without spending a penny. From setting up collection pots to encourage donations from your community to recycling ink cartridges here's how you can help raise funds and bring back nature.

Why is fundraising important?

We rely on the incredible support of local communities, businesses, and nature-lovers to help our missions to save Suffolk's wildlife and environment. With your support, we can make a Suffolk where people and nature can thrive together.

Fundraise as you shop

Take part in a challenge

We have discounted spaces available when you sign up to fundraise for our charity, saving you money as you take on the challenge. We ask our fundraisers to raise a target amount dependent on each challenge.

Challenges are open to individuals and businesses, why not put together a team of colleagues or friends and take part together.

Your impact

Whether you raise £100 or £10,000 your support makes our work possible. All donations to our charity support our vital conservation work and help connect people to nature, making Suffolk a better place for wildlife and people. By fundraising for Suffolk Wildlife Trust you are helping to bring back nature.

  • £17 - Wellies. £17 could kit out a youth group member or volunteer with warm, waterproof wellies - removing a simple barrier that might otherwise prevent them from learning about and understanding our wild spaces with others their age.
  • £50 – Two child places at an engagement session. £50 could open the door to nature for two children, giving them the chance to breathe fresh air, build confidence, and feel that they belong in nature.
  • £75 - Camera equipment for wildlife monitoring. £75 could buy vital camera equipment, like a tripod or memory storage, to help us capture accurate wildlife data and share magical moments with the wider community.
  • £200 - Essential wildlife surveys. £200 could fund critical wildlife surveys such as borehole monitoring to provide the data we need to protect fragile habitats and make science-led decisions.
  • £600 - Stag beetle stumpery. £600 could help create a stag beetle stumpery which is an essential habitat for one of the UK’s most threatened beetles. This would give them space to feed, breed and flourish.
  • £1,000 - Scrub edge management. £1,000 could support essential scrub-edge management keeping access routes open while creating the varied habitat structure that so many species rely on.
  • £2,500 - Bracken bruisers. £2,500 could equip us with the tools needed to tackle invasive bracken, restoring balance to habitats that would otherwise be overwhelmed.
  • £15k - Small machinery acquisition. £15k could fund the purchase of small but essential conservation machinery that our reserves are reliant on to maintain and restore habitats efficiently.
