Winter has come

Winter has come

A poem dedicated to our need to care for nature

Winter has come,

The ravens fly free.

It has been the first anniversary; since

I saw my first sparrow.

A chord struck me

To fight for our wildife.

Winter has come,

Spring in prepare,

Our hope is almighty

For now, more than ever, for nature we care.

And spring has not once broken a streak

We have done this before,

Our work is seen and it will be once more.

So projects will commence, strength, hope, struggle for the new year

And when climate change falls on earth heavily,

Remember to stay strong; and hold your own near.

Our path may be hard, whether work, life, advocating,

But keep our message clear,

From our doorstep to the highest peaks,

Our living planet earth, Awakening.

Winter has come,

A robin sings on the far birch tree.

A territorial, post-festive cheer.

Take a deep breath, stay wild, and welcome in the new year.
