Volunteers with the new interpretation board at Snape Marshes: Rachel Norman

Thanks to funding by Suffolk Coasts and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Sustainable Development Fund, our wardens and volunteers have installed four new interpretation boards at Trimley and Snape marshes, helping to give visitors an enriched experience at these lovely nature reserves.

Visitors to our Trimley and Snape marshes reserves will now be greeted by four new interpretation boards kindly funded by the Suffolk Coasts & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Sustainable Development Fund.

Our South East Suffolk Warden, Rachel Norman, worked with volunteers to put up the signs, replacing very worn and tired signage that had seen one too many winters!

Interpretation boards are a vital part of a visitor's experience to a nature reserve. These boards not only highlight the walking trails available, but also help with visual identification and information on some of the important species that may be found there. The boards are designed to make visits much more meaningful and help all visitors understand much more about these special places for nature and why they are so important to cherish and protect.

Please do have a look at the new signs when you next visit Trimley and Snape Marshes and let us know what you think!
