Storm Eunice - update

Trees in the wind, Ben Hall 2020Vision

In the wake of Storm Eunice there are likely to be trees and branches down on our 50 nature reserves. We will check for damage on reserves as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we strongly advise you not visit any woodland nature reserves or the woodland areas of larger reserves before Wednesday 23rd (at the earliest) to allow us to make safety checks.

In the wake of Storm Eunice there are likely to be trees and branches down on our 50 nature reserves. We will check for damage to reserves as quickly as possible, once it is safe for our staff to do so. In the meantime, we strongly advise you not visit any woodland nature reserves or the woodland areas of larger reserves like Knettishall Heath before Wednesday 23rd (at the earliest) to allow us to make safety checks of all our trails to ensure there are no dangerous trees or branches.

Once our reserve teams have had chance to access the situation we'll post the a list of reserves on this page with an indication of status (safety checked and open or closed awaiting checks).

Due to Yellow wind warnings on Sunday and Monday, drop-in nest box building sessions are taking place in Lackford Lakes and Carlton Marshes only. Please check the local centre facebook pages over the next few days for details on possible event cancellations.
