Crafty hedgehogs!

Last weekend Ipswich got crafty for the annual Christmas tree festival!

Myself and fab volunteer Tarra ran an event with artist Lois Cordelia (check out her website here!) and La Tour Cycle Cafe. It was a great afternoon with families from across the town coming to help us create hedgehog tree decorations!

The aim of the event was to raise awareness about our hedgehog project and create decorations for a tree that we are submitting to the Ipswich Christmas tree festival! We had a very busy afternoon making hedgehog pom-poms, pine cones, clay models, and chatting all things hedgehog! This was followed by a lovely poetry reading and hedgehog cake making!

We’ll be setting up our tree next week and you can see it in all its glory (alongside lots of other trees made by organisations across the town) at the festival being held in St Mary-le-tower between 1-7 December. Do come along and have a look – and grab one of our leaflets to find out more about the project!
