Learn how local businesses, like Tingdene, are working for a better future for nature in our county.

I am Sophie Green (Marketing Manager) from Tingdene Group, and we are pledging our support for Suffolk Wildlife Trust and nature in Suffolk as Nature Guardians of Carlton Marshes. As the owner and operator of Residential Parks, Holiday Parks and Marinas, we understand how important the natural environment is to the experiences enjoyed by our guests, holiday homeowners and berth holders every day.

What motivates you to want to support wildlife in our county and what does protecting wildlife in Suffolk mean to you?

Protecting wildlife in Suffolk means safeguarding the places that make the county so special. Carlton Marshes is a perfect example of this, providing an important habitat for a wide range of species while offering people the opportunity to connect with nature.

Our partnership is a natural fit; two of our holiday park and marina sites, Broadlands Park & Marina and Waveney River Centre, are located either side of Carlton Marshes. The reserve is easily accessible from both destinations, allowing visitors to explore this incredible landscape on foot, whether via the scenic permissive footpath through Broadlands Park & Marina or by crossing the River Waveney on our foot ferry.

Why has your organisation chosen to include nature in your sustainability approach?

Nature is at the heart of what we do. Our holiday parks, residential parks and marinas are surrounded by beautiful landscapes, waterways and wildlife across the UK, and we believe we have a responsibility to help protect these places for future generations. Supporting Suffolk Wildlife Trust allows us to contribute to the conservation of a unique and valuable local environment.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Suffolk Wildlife Trust, encouraging more people to discover the beauty of the Broads and helping protect Suffolk’s wildlife for years to come.
