About the event
Discuss and receive advice about management of your site. explore ways to increase biodiversity by creating spaces for wildlife such as stag beetle stacks, bird houses, invertebrate hotels, dead hedges and wildflower patches.
Discover ways to encourage nature connection with participants by exploring the 5 pathways to Nature connection with simple transferable activities to stimulate both connection and wellbeing.
Receive advice on writing and involving participants in your management plan and in minimising your ecological impact on site and come away with lots of ideas to implement these.
This training day runs from 10am – 3pm in an outdoor setting.
What will I need for the course?
Please make sure you bring the following with you:
- Packed lunch, cup and snacks
- Suitable outdoor clothing for the weather conditions (trousers, not shorts)
- Stout shoes or boots. Please do not wear sandals.
- A camera or camera phone can be useful for recording some of the activities
We will be provide:
- Tea and coffee
- All tools and equipment for the outdoor tasks
(N.B. For a variety of reasons we would ask you not to bring your own tools)
