About the event

Darren Tansley (co-author of the Mammals of Essex) introduces the mustelids, a family of mammals which includes our smallest carnivore - the weasel. These animals are steeped in folklore and fiction but their ecology has often brought them into conflict with their main predator in the UK - humans.

From ubiquitous hunters to endangered species, Darren charts the ups and downs of these beautiful, charismatic creatures.
