About the event

A holiday club Forest School session for children aged 6-11. Our day will be spend in the woods (weather permitting - during high winds we will be based in and around the yard) building dens, playing on the rope swing, balance ropes and swinging in hammocks.

We will be preparing a vegetarian lunch with the children as part of this session. Please note that during the summer months, this lunch will not be cooked over the fire. Drinks and snacks will be provided although please send your young person with a drink and any particular snacks they require.

You will be emailed a few days prior to the day with details of the lunch. We will endeavour to provide food to accommodate the dietary requirements of the group, where this is not possible, we will contact you to discuss to ensure no child is left hungry!

All our sessions will be held entirely outside, so please ensure your child(ren) are dressed appropriately for the weather (hat scarf, suncream, waterproofs as appropriate to the season) and be aware that can be a tad cooler in the woods than elsewhere. They will also need closed toed shoes and you may prefer to send them in long trousers as there are stinging nettles and midges in the woods. Please do not allow your young person to bring a mobile phone.

All young people must be dropped off by an adult, who must confirm their emergency contact details with the member of staff at the arrival point, before departing along with confirming who will be collecting said child.

 Funded HAF places will be availble for this event in due course.
