Join our Youth Board

Are you aged between 11-24? Do you live in Suffolk and love our local wildlife? Do you care about the environment and want to help protect it? We want you to join our Youth Board!

We are not currently taking applications - check this webpage to find out when applications re-open!

We set up our Youth Board because we know youth voices need to be part of conversations about how we protect nature. If we want to make sure our wildlife is protected for years to come, we need young people’s thoughts, knowledge, and opinions.

Our Youth Board is the voice of Suffolk’s young people. We empower our members to take action for nature, get involved with decision making, and campaign for environmental issues. The youth board meets once a month online and gets involved with regular campaigns, projects and events both online and in person. Read more about the campaigns, workshops and projects our Youth Board have been up to over the past year here.

Interested in applying? Of course, you are! After reading the details in our pack, fill in the application form below to apply. Check out the recruitment pack to find out more about what it’s like to be part of our Youth Board.

‘In my area of Suffolk, the destruction of habitats and loss of endangered species continue to increase. However, the nature crisis does not only threaten one region of the UK, but the entire country. This is why I’m proud to represent the voices of everyone concerned about the future of our natural environment and hope the government will take action now to recover biodiversity, before it becomes too late.’
