Photography Competition 2021 overall winners announced

Photography Competition 2021 overall winners announced

Turnstone - Grace Prescott

The judges' winner and young person overall winner in this year's photo competition have been announced. This year the prize-giving ceremony was held online but was no less rewarding and inspiring, with photographers having the chance to chat about their photographs. Michael Strand, our Community Fundraising Manager, celebrates the winners...

There is always great anticipation opening the folder of photographs submitted in our annual competition. An explosion of talent, passion and personality. This year in particular, the breadth of subject matter has continued to grow, perhaps born out of closer inspection to the wildlife in our gardens or as a release from various lockdowns and restrictions. There is certainly a growing trend towards the macro world of invertebrates and other wildlife not normally noticeable to the naked eye. It is hugely encouraging to see so many new entrants across the board and especially in the younger age group categories as we continue to celebrate individuals' connections with the natural world.
