Membership Retention Call Volunteer

What you’ll be doing

As a volunteer, you’ll help deliver an excellent experience for Suffolk Wildlife Trust members by contacting new members around three months into their membership to offer a warm welcome. You’ll answer any questions they might have and ensure they have all the information they need. Part of your role will include updating our CRM system with details from your conversations, issuing any missing paperwork, and gathering feedback on how we’re doing. You’ll also support with general office administration and play a key part in helping us understand and improve our supporters' satisfaction.

The skills you need

You don’t need previous experience, as we’ll provide full training for the role. However, if you have any office or telephone experience, that would be a bonus. Ideally, you’ll be someone who enjoys talking with a wide range of people and has good communication skills, attention to detail, and basic IT ability. Being confident using a computer, staying organised, and working reliably and flexibly will help you succeed in this role.

What you’ll get out of it

This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and be part of a friendly, supportive team. You’ll play a meaningful role in helping connect people with nature and supporting the work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Your contributions will directly impact how welcome and valued our members feel.

As a Suffolk Wildlife Trust Volunteer, you will also meet other volunteers and Trust staff and have the opportunity to learn more about the work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust across the County (and of The Wildlife Trusts nationally).

You can claim back out-of-pocket expenses.

The time you need to give

You can give as much or as little as you wish - we ask for a minimum commitment of two to three hours per week - it can be flexible to fit around your schedule. The role is based at our head office, Brooke House in Ashbocking, Ipswich, during our office hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
