Supporter Development Administrative Volunteer

What you’ll be doing

As a volunteer, you’ll help with a variety of important administrative tasks that support the smooth running of Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s operations. Your work will include scanning and uploading Gift Aid declarations to our CRM system, assisting with large mailings such as stuffing envelopes and franking letters, and helping to send out our members’ magazine and newsletters. You’ll also contribute to general office duties as part of the wider team.

The skills you need

You don’t need previous experience for this role, as we’ll provide full training. However, if you’ve worked in an office or used phones before, that would be helpful. We’re looking for someone with good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and basic IT skills. Being confident with computers, well-organised, reliable, and flexible will help you succeed in this role.

What you’ll get out of it

This is a great opportunity to build your skills and experience in a friendly office environment while supporting the important work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust. You’ll be part of a welcoming team and know that your contribution is helping to connect people with nature and keep our work running smoothly behind the scenes.

As a Suffolk Wildlife Trust Volunteer, you will also meet other volunteers and Trust staff and have the opportunity to learn more about the work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust across the County (and of The Wildlife Trusts nationally).

You can claim back out-of-pocket expenses.

The time you need to give

You can give as much or as little as you wish - we ask for a minimum commitment of two to three hours per week - it can be flexible to fit around your schedule. The role is based at our head office, Brooke House in Ashbocking, Ipswich, during our office hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
