About the event

This taster day is aimed at those who are interested in learning more about the Forest School approach to learning.

It can also be used as a first step for those considering taking Forest School Leader training at a later date.

Forest School is an outdoor education approach where students visit woodlands and use natural resources to stimulate imaginative, creative, and investigative learning. Children can saw wood, whittle sticks, climb trees, build shelters, and help to light fires - all whilst learning about nature, wildlife, and the environment. These self-led activities help young people to take risks safely, take responsibility for their actions, and take care of themselves and others.

Our Forest School Trainer - Emma is a Forest School Association (FSA) endorsed Trainer.

Entry Criteria

  • Participants need to be over 16 years of age and have an interest in working with children and young people outdoors.

Course Cost: £100
